Forestal Park Tenerife Itinerary

  • Reception and Registration: You will be warmly welcomed at our reception where you will register all participants.
  • Protective Equipment: At the equipment area, we will provide and assist you in donning the personal protection equipment (harness), ensuring your safety throughout the adventure.
  • Instructor Introduction: The instructors at Forestal Park Tenerife will introduce themselves and give a brief overview of the activity you will undertake.
  • Safety Briefing: Once the group is ready, you will head to one of our initiation circuits for an important safety briefing. Here, you will learn to use the safety system known as “continuous lifeline”.
  • Trial Circuit: Then, it will be your turn to shine by applying what you have learned on the trial circuit. All participants must complete this course to proceed to the adventure circuits. This initial circuit is an opportunity to ask questions, assess how you feel, and determine what kind of adventurer you are.

Important information

  • Ensure you download your ticket to your mobile device or note down the booking code before arriving, as it will be required at reception and please be aware that there is no mobile signal in the forest.
  • Remember to always arrive 30 minutes before your booking time at our reception.

Free cancellation

  • To receive a full refund for the activity, it must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance of its start.
  • If cancelled within 48 hours before the start, no refund will be made.
  • Changes made less than 48 hours before the activity starts will not be accepted.
  • The cut-off time is determined according to the local time of the location where the activity will take place.
  • Favorable weather conditions are essential for this activity. In the event of cancellation due to bad weather, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.

  • Age Range: Participants aged 5 to 69 years.
  • Minimum Height: A minimum height of 1.10 meters is required.
  • Maximum Weight: The maximum weight allowed is 110 kg.
  • Minor Accompaniment:
    • Ages 5 to 8: Must be accompanied by an adult in height, with a maximum of 2 children per adult.
    • Ages 9 to 10: An adult can accompany up to 5 children in height.
    • Ages 11 to 12: Can complete the easy and medium circuits (green and blue) alone, but must be visually supervised by an adult from the group at all times.
  • Mobility Restrictions: The activity is not suitable for individuals with reduced mobility.
  • Pregnancy Restrictions: Not suitable for pregnant women.
  • General Physical Conditions: The activity is not recommended for people with physical problems (e.g., heart diseases, respiratory issues, etc.). When in doubt, it is advised to consult a doctor.

    At the moment, it is not possible to take pets on the high ropes courses, so your pet will enjoy walking through the forest as indicated in the previous section.

  • Can the activity be carried out if it is raining?

    The activity can go ahead in the rain, as long as it is not heavy rain and it has been deemed safe to do so. On rainy days, we recommend bringing a raincoat and spare clothes as there will be mud, and you will appreciate having something dry to wear afterwards.

    In the event that the Company deems the weather suitable for the activity, the reserved services cannot be cancelled or refunded, even if it is not clear or the atmospheric conditions are not entirely ideal.

  • Can people who are not participating in the activity accompany me? Do companions have to pay for entry?

    Indeed, people who are not enjoying the activities can come to watch from the trails as you go through the high ropes courses. These visitors can enter the park for free, so there is no need to book an entry for them. During events, the access of these companions will be limited to 1 for every 4 participants in the activity. Also, if the companions interfere with the safety of the adventure participants, they will be asked to wait in the Reception area or outside the premises.

  • When can children go through the course alone?

    • Children under 11 years old can never go up alone.
    • Children between 11 and 12 years old can go up alone on the easy (green) and medium (blue) courses, supervised by an adult from the group who maintains visual contact throughout the Activities.
    • From the age of 13, they can access all circuits alone, as long as they comply with all the park’s regulations.
  • Modifications of Reservations, Cancellations, and Refunds

    • Up to 48 hours before your activity, you can modify or cancel your reservation without charge. In case of cancellation, you will receive the full amount of the prepayment or payment for the tickets.
    • Up to 24 hours before your activity, you can change the date of your reservation subject to availability, this modification will not incur any additional expense. In case of cancellation, a charge of 5€ for management expenses will be applied.
    • In case of “no-show”, that is, not attending on the day of your reservation, your reservation cannot be modified nor will the prepayment or payment for the tickets be refunded.
    • In case the facilities have to be closed due to a force majeure event (for example: adverse weather phenomena, lockdown, etc.), a full refund of the amount you have paid for your reservation will be made.
  • Can I book on the same day?

    As long as there is availability, you can book up to an hour and a half before the start of the activity.

  • How far in advance do I need to book?

    It depends on the season, the day, the time, and the type of group and activity you would like to book:

    • From October to March, for individual tickets, we recommend booking at least 5 days in advance. For groups and events, we recommend booking at least 10 days in advance.
    • From April to September, for individual tickets, we recommend booking 10 days in advance. For groups and events, we recommend booking at least 20 days in advance.
    • For school holidays (Christmas period, long weekends and holidays, as well as during the summer holidays), we recommend booking individual tickets at least 10 days in advance.
  • What physical conditions are necessary to carry out the activities?

    The activities require a minimum physical condition to overcome the games and challenges at height. Also, participants cannot have physical health problems (e.g., heart conditions, respiratory problems, etc.) and will accept that there is a risk of injuries (e.g., scratches, bumps, bruises, cuts, sprains, or other injuries) when carrying out the activities. In case of doubt, we recommend that you consult your doctor if you can carry out the activities of Forestal Park Tenerife with X condition.

  • Is there a maximum age limit to carry out the activities in the park?

    The accident insurance covers up to 69 years of age, therefore, it is the maximum age allowed to carry out the activities of Forestal Park Tenerife.

  • I am pregnant, can I carry out the activity?

    It is not advisable for pregnant women to practice adventure sports in order to avoid bumps, pressure on the abdomen, or any other risk to the proper development of the baby. For safety reasons and taking all precautions, our activity is not suitable for pregnant women.

  • I have a child under 5 years old but he/she is taller than 1.10m or vice versa, can he/she enjoy the high ropes courses?

    To access the high ropes courses, participants must be at least 5 years old and measure at least 1.10m, so if one of the two mentioned requirements is not met, it will be necessary to wait until both are fulfilled.

  • I weigh more than 110kg, can I carry out the high ropes courses?

    To access the high ropes courses, participants will be equipped with PETZL harnesses, PANJI model, which are one-size-fits-all that covers a wide range of sizes, thanks to the belt adjustments (up to 120 cm) and leg loops (up to 75 cm). It is essential that the harness fits correctly to your body morphology to be able to carry out the activity and avoid the “harness syndrome” in case of hanging.

    In case you weigh more than 110kg and the harness fits your morphology, it should be noted that a maximum of 130kg is allowed.

  • Do I have to wear a helmet?

    The European regulations for acrobatic courses at height do not require the use of helmets as it is not an activity that entails danger to the area protected by this element. In any case, if any participant needs to use a helmet for any special reason, contact us to confirm the availability of the material or give you the relevant instructions regarding your case.

  • Is the activity safe?

    Since the end of 2016, we work with a safety system called “continuous lifeline”, that is, you connect at the beginning to a safety cable “lifeline” that runs throughout the circuit and you cannot disconnect until you land back on the ground.

    Before starting the activity, you will receive a safety talk on a trial circuit where the instructors will explain how this system works, how you have to use the elements, and what steps you have to take to carry out the activity under the highest standards of safety.

  • Can I bring my camera and/or video camera during the activity?

    You can use your mobile phone, photo and/or video cameras, etc. as long as you have your hands free to carry out the activity. We recommend that you bring your mobile devices in a case that you can hang from the harness or around your neck. “Selfie sticks” are prohibited.

  • Does an instructor accompany us during the activity?

    The activity is carried out under supervised autonomy, that is, the instructor is in charge of supervising the safety equipment, teaching its handling on the trial circuit, and goes up to the circuits punctually in case they need help. From the ground, they supervise that all participants and companions follow the instructions and rules of Forestal Park Tenerife.

  • Can I leave the activity without completing the 3 hours of activity?

    The circuits of Forestal Park Tenerife are designed so that every so often you land on the ground and can rest to continue enjoying the adventure in the trees. In case you cannot continue carrying out the activity, when you land on one of the courses, head to our reception to be de-equipped and hand in the harness, even if you have not completed the 3 hours.
