From the Teide summit to the north coast
This full day tour from Teide links the highest point of the island with the north coast, then climbs back up to the summits. Four stops shape the day: El Teide, Icod de los Vinos, Garachico and Masca.
Climbing through Vilaflor, we reach the Las Cañadas del Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with several photo stops along the way. We carry on through the Orotava Valley to Icod, known for its wines and for the Drago Milenario, the most emblematic tree of the Canary Islands.
The route follows the north coast and passes through Garachico, destroyed by the eruption of 1706. It ends in Masca, an old pirate village with views over La Gomera, from where boats sailing between the two islands were once watched.
