Itinerary North Coast Adventure

LA REKOMPENSA, BANANA PLANTATION
Here at La Rekompensa, immerse yourself in a comprehensive tour of the Banana Museum. This visit is not just for observation; it’s an interactive delight, offering information on the cultivation and importance of bananas to the island’s agriculture and culture, as well as a small tasting. The museum not only displays a wide variety of species but also tells their story, from the flower to the harvest.

GÁLDAR, THE FORMER CAPITAL
In the heart of Gáldar, you’ll feel the island’s history envelop you. As the former capital, it is a place where pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago find solace and inspiration in the cathedral, a beacon of faith and heritage. This city is a living chronicle that echoes the traditions that form part of the soul of Gran Canaria.

DISCOVER LOCAL DINING OPTIONS IN EL AGUJERO
In El Agujero, you have two options for dining on your own: «Restaurante La Caldosa», known for its seafood cuisine, and «Bar Tu Mismo», a small bar serving sandwiches and snacks. If you prefer, you can bring your own food and enjoy your lunch beside the natural rock pools, contemplating the impressive ocean views.

EXPLORE EL AGUJERO AND RELAX IN A NATURAL ROCK POOL
Dive into the pool of «El Agujero», a place where nature displays its contrast: the wild North Sea meets the serenity of the calm natural rock pools. Explore the underwater biodiversity of Gran Canaria through a snorkeling trial. After your aquatic adventure, you can enjoy time to relax in the natural pools, listening to the melody of the tide. Should the tides or weather conditions not allow for snorkeling activities, we will visit the charming coastal village of Sardina instead.

SUNSET AT SARDINA LIGHTHOUSE
The day’s journey culminates at Sardina Lighthouse. As the sun sets, the silhouettes of the ‘dragon tail’ mountains and Teide stand majestic against the twilight sky, a view that captures the essence of the island’s dramatic beauty.
