Tenerife wine tour with hotel pickup: Casa del Vino and Bodegas Monje

Tenerife wine route: to get to know a place, few things work as well as sitting down to taste what people eat and drink there. That is what this day is about.

We leave the south of the island for La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage city. Its old centre is compact, so you can explore it on foot at an easy pace. A short drive away lies El Sauzal, in the Acentejo region, in the northeast.

There we visit the Casa del Vino, where you taste Canarian wines and appetisers while hearing the story of Tenerife’s wine sector, past and present. Lunch is served at Bodegas Monje, also in El Sauzal.

The wineries and wines you will visit

The tour pairs two wine stops with the old town of La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage city. In El Sauzal you visit the Casa del Vino, with a tasting of wines and Canarian appetisers and a walk through the history and present of Tenerife’s wine sector. Lunch is served at Bodegas Monje, also in El Sauzal (Acentejo region), where you sample wines protected by the island’s designations of origin. A vegetarian menu is available if you request it when booking.
