The regulars are bottlenose dolphins and short-finned pilot whales, which live in the deep water close to the Jandía coast; in season other passing species can appear. The boats leave from the south because the seabed drops away quickly there and the animals come closer to shore.
The speedboat is for people who are only after the whales and dolphins: an hour and a half, fast, with a good chance of getting close. The pirate boat and the glass-bottom boat turn the watching into a 4-hour half day with lunch on board, a swim stop and, on the second, a view of the seabed through the hull: better with children or if you get seasick easily.
