Masca is a hamlet in Teno Rural Park, in western Tenerife, reached by a mountain road of tight hairpins. That is why almost everything on offer here is guided: you skip the driving and the parking, which is very limited in the village itself.
Right now only one activity takes in Masca by road: the full day tour with Teide, Icod, Garachico and Masca, 8 hours, guided in English, Spanish, German and French and with hotel pickup. The two private excursions that drove up to the hamlet are no longer available. How to choose: if you are here for the landscape and want to stop when you feel like it, the 6-hour private trips let you set the pace. If you would rather see a lot in one day, the 8-hour tour strings together Teide, Icod, Garachico and Masca. And if you already know the hamlet, half a day on the water is the way to see the west coast from the sea.
