Credit also to the coach driver, my wife was concerned about the hair pin bends but he drove impeccably her concerns evaporating the higher we went!!
A fabulous trip well worth it with the views and contrast in temperatures.

Two excursions/outings with Viajes Teide and booked through our hotel. The first went very well; it was simply a pickup... Two excursions/outings with Viajes Teide and booked through our hotel. The first went very well; it was simply a pickup from our hotel to Siam Park. The schedule was respected and everything went smoothly, no complaints.
The second excursion was to Mount Teide, Icod de Los Vinos, Garachico, and Masca. We were picked up on time and picked up the other passengers on the way. The first stop at Mount Teide was great, with 1 hour of free time in the crater at the foot of the volcano. A magnificent and exotic landscape! The second stop, Icod de Los Vinos, was for lunch. The downside of this excursion was the meal. We were redirected to a restaurant that, on paper, looked nice (Canarian cuisine, affordable prices), but once we arrived, we felt the connection between the restaurant and the tourist excursions. Limited choices, record-breaking service speed (starter, main course, dessert served in 20 minutes) and zero product quality. The waitress makes an angel face so that we pay in cash and if you pay by card her face changes and becomes more severe 😅. Otherwise, after this somewhat dubious meal, we observe the oldest dragon tree on the island and then a great tasting of local products led by our guide Christophe (special mention to him, I will come back to it). This is followed by a 15-minute walk in front of the natural pools of Garachico (nice but short) and we finish in Masca, the second highlight of the day. Magnificent village and breathtaking landscape (as is the heat 😂). Beautiful excursion overall and thanks to Christophe for all his explanations, anecdotes and directions in English, French and German. Special mention to José, our driver, who controls his vehicle like no one else, especially on the winding roads of Masca!

L'excursion est ponctuée par plusieurs arrêts qui offre un panorama grandiose
Guide Marcello et son chauffeur extras tous les deux, Marcello très prolixe ayant des connaissances incontestables et cela en quatre langues égrenées tout le long du voyage.
Les vues sont spectaculaires, le midi arrêt dans la foret dans un restaurant typique, menu très copieux et retour en fin de journée après une petite halte dans la capitale pour y faire quelques achats.
